Rob Salkowitz (@robsalk) is an author and educator who explores the growing influence of comics and fan culture on entertainment. His 2012 book Comic-Con and the Business of Pop Culture, and TEDx Talk “Transmedia in the Hour of the Nerd” helped focus media attention on the excitement and innovation coming from comics. Rob teaches communications at the University of Washington, writes regularly for Forbes and ICv2, moderates panels at conventions worldwide, and has appeared on CBC, The Today Show, NPR and other programs talking about trends in the industry.
